How Apartment Therapy Used Instagram Metrics to Program Its Virtual Event

Originally slated to be held in Brooklyn’s Industry City in April, Apartment Therapy pivoted its event to utilize social media and virtual rooms to host its Small/Cool Experience at Home event. This experience allowed designers to create a digital virtual space that was about 120 square feet, where visitors could explore and shop the features in the room. Laura Shocker, editor-in-chief of Apartment Therapy reflected, “'One of the most exciting aspects of the original in-person event was letting our audience really see, feel, and experience these rooms. So the first challenge for our team was to figure out how to re-create that experience through a screen.'” Read more about this innovative event, here.

ACC Liverpool Operating as Distribution Hub During Coronavirus Outbreak

The once event venue, ACC Liverpool event campus has been turned into a logistical distribution hub during the Coronavirus outbreak to support the most vulnerable people within the city. This venue has been distributing thousands of items  per week out to the local residents ranging from food to household goods, as well as receiving deliveries of PPE equipment to be distributed across Liverpool. Obama, Malala, Jonas Brothers Send Off Class of 2020 In Virtual Graduation

These last few months have been tough on the graduating class of 2020. The Coronavirus has robbed them of a crucial milestone in their career: Graduation. Celebrities, activists, artists, and students came together for the virtual event, Graduate Together: America Honors the High School Class of 2020, to commemorate this class for its perseverance and academic achievements. Transparent Masks, Antibody Testing: Italy Prepares for Meetings

Italy, one of the worst hot spots for COVID-19, will relax its borders on June 3rd. With this hopeful news, the events and meeting industries are developing new safety measures to restart their meetings and events. The Italian Exhibition Group has outlined methods to implement thermal scanning, mask distribution, antibody testing for employees, and reduced capacity requirements. Untethered 2020 Virtual Event

On Thursday, May 21, Aventri’s CEO Jim Sharpe spoke on the Event Tech Legends Panel: Event Tech CEO’S Talk the Future of the Industry for the Untethered virtual event. The Untethered Conference is created for the events industry and designed to bring together communities to share expertise, creativity, and passion to take on the challenges of the industry. The proceeds from this event went to support the Meetings Industry Fund to support fellow meeting professionals with living and medical necessities. Check out the event here.
