Hotels Seek to Boost COVID Vaccine Rollout

To aid the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine, the hotel industry is offering its services to the incoming Biden-Harris administration. The president and CEO of American Hotel & Lodging Association, Chip Rogers, recently wrote a letter detailing why hotels are well-positioned to help. Among his arguments, Rogers states that hotels have enough reach to touch all Americans; they have more spaces that are conducive to social distancing; properties already operate on a 24-hour schedule, unlike typical pharmacies and doctors’ offices; and many hotels have large parking lots and are located near highways – making them easily accessible. Learn more about why hotels would be a useful channel to help distribute the vaccine here.
