How Does Aventri Work for Session Tracking?

Brian Friedman |

use aventri for event session tracking. see how it worksAre you struggling to promote your event because of uneventful sessions? Do you want to sell out event registrations, acquire repeat sponsorships, and attract more and better marketing leads but your event content just isn’t doing the job?

Event organizers often struggle to understand the performance and value of their live sessions. While there are many tools on the market, the majority are overly complex, too expensive, or so inefficient that they aren’t worth the investment (or headache!). With the right session tracking solution, you can at last understand how many attendees are going to each session and for how long.

Why does this matter?

With better data, you can plan more efficiently, reduce lines and wait times, and optimize the overall flow of attendee traffic.

This intelligence also helps you decipher session value, separating the star performers from the sessions without a pulse. You can swap the losers for the winners and promote sessions with upside potential both during and after your event.

Most importantly, you’ll be able to make sure that your attendees don’t have their sights set on the nearest exit. With tools like Aventri, we help you capture and keep attendee attention and interest.

Aventri does the work so you don’t have to. Consisting of the Aventri Smart Badge, Aventri Hubs, and Aventri Analytics Platform, this triple threat technology solution solves your most chronic event problems.

How does this work specifically? Let me explain.

First, each attendee is given an Aventri Smart Badge. As attendees wear it alongside event credentials, it shares a unique signal every millisecond. Utilizing a proprietary BLE technology, the Aventri Smart Badge can both send and receive attendee information continuously.

Next, Aventri  Hubs are placed around the event venue. These small wireless sensors use BLE as well as Wi-Fi to collect session attendance data as attendees enter and exit with their Aventri Smart Badges. Aventri  Hubs are placed on both sides of the session doors to replace event employees with passive, non-intrusive data collection.

While these devices are universally beneficial, they are also specifically customizable. Aventri  Hubs can be finely tuned to capture high-quality session attendance data, unique to individual events.

To achieve this, an Aventri Onsite team ensures that each Aventri  Hub is installed at the perfect distance and direction to capture the right information. Aventri Hubs can be adjusted to capture information up to 30 feet away and can collect data with a range of 360 degree or 180 degrees within a few seconds.

Finally, the Aventri Analytics Platform displays real-time information that is immediately useful and also critical for future planning.

It shows metrics that reveal what sessions are the most popular, along with rich details such as number of unique visits, returns, and average dwell times. This contextual information transparently shows the level of attendee interest at each session.

There is also a high-level dashboard showing mission-critical event trends like the top three sessions every two minutes, as well as a more in-depth view of session information. By looking at individual statistics, you can see session attendance and actual dwell times.

Event analytics are a need, not a luxury. A recent report by Freeman delivered convincing predictions about this necessity stating, “Expect to see more event organizers use data analytics going forward to find concrete evidence of what motivates their attendees, what motivates those who don’t attend, and how the organizer can personalize the messaging and programming to customize the event for the attendee.”
