K. Oni Chukwu, a veteran software industry executive, was appointed in September 2013 as President & CEO to lead Aventri through its next phase of growth. Oni will also join the company’s Board of Directors. Oni brings a distinguished record of leading and managing exceptional customer growth, results-driven financial performance, and operational execution for market-dominant global enterprise software and ecommerce companies. He has 20+ years experience in growing global technology companies and working closely with enterprise business users around the world in providing them the software, technology tools and services they need to achieve their growth goals. Oni also has proven skills in recruiting and nurturing global talent to deliver best-in-class software and services for customers.

Peter Armstrong

Board Member

Active technology entrepreneur and investor, Peter Armstrong co-founded Triple Point Technology, a leading commodities management software business, in 1993 and was its chief executive officer until the sale of the company to the ION Group in 2013. Under Peter’s leadership, Triple Point launched a full suite of industry-leading and award-winning products and evolved into a global organization supporting the demanding needs of energy and commodity market participants in a wide range of industries. Independent validation of Peter’s leadership success included Triple Point being named a “Leader” in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Energy Trading and Risk Management in every year the study was published. In addition to serving as a director for Aventri, Peter sits on the board of directors/advisors for several software and technology-enabled services companies, including Hanweck Associates, Mediant Communications, Eka Software Solutions, and Qliktag Software.

John Block

Principal, HGGC

John is a principal of HGGC, a leading private equity firm. He’s active in the firm’s Fund II investments, including Aventri, as well as HGGC’s Fund I investments. Prior to his current role at the firm, John was an associate at HGGC. Previously, he was a senior associate consultant for Bain & Company, where he served private equity clients on due diligence projects and general practice clients spanning multiple industries on growth-oriented strategies. John is a graduate of the Booth School of Business at The University of Chicago.

Farouk J. Hussein

Principal, HGGC

A principal at leading private equity firm HGGC, Farouk is active in the firm’s Fund III, Fund II (including Aventri) and Fund I investments. Prior to joining HGGC, Farouk was an associate at JMI Equity, where he was responsible for analyzing and executing transactions in the enterprise software realm, with a focus on software-as-a-service (SaaS) and vertical market software. Previously, he worked as an investment banking analyst in the technology group of Union Square Advisors. Farouk is a graduate of the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.

Richard F. Lawson

Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder, HGGC

As its chief executive officer and co-founder, Richard has directed leading private equity firm HGGC’s governance, investment strategy and investor relations since its inception. Over its history, HGGC has completed platform investments, add-on acquisitions, recapitalizations and liquidity events with an aggregate transaction value of $15 billion. Prior to leading HGGC, Richard established predecessor private equity funds Huntsman Gay Capital Partners in 2007, as well as Sorenson Capital in 2002. Richard also worked at Morgan Stanley in its mergers and acquisitions department and served as President and Chief Executive Officer of enterprise software company Found, Inc. He also serves on the board on several philanthropic and cultural institutions including the Capital Impact Foundation, San Francisco Zoo, Wasatch Adaptive Sports and the Forever Young Foundation.
